Providers headquartered in the EU
These are the 19 providers in our comparison whose company is registered in the EU. The city is the registered headquarters of the company behind the brand, which is not necessarily where any given server runs.

Why the company, not the data centre
Nearly every large hosting provider has a location in Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Paris, so "servers in Europe" says very little about who you are buying from. A German data centre operated by a US company is still a purchase from a US company, and the money, the jobs and the corporate law all follow the company rather than the rack. That is the distinction this page makes: the list is filtered on where the company is registered, and the countries you see are EU member states.
If your reason for choosing an EU provider is legal rather than economic — GDPR, public sector procurement, or exposure to non-EU jurisdictions — the company's home jurisdiction is usually the part that matters, but the details depend on your situation and are worth checking with someone qualified rather than taking from a comparison site.
How this list is put together
Ownership is not something we can read out of a price list, so the list is maintained by hand: each provider's imprint and company registration is checked, and only companies registered in an EU member state are included. Nothing is ranked or promoted here — the ordering is whatever you sort the table by, exactly as on the main comparison.
Companies change hands, and a provider that qualifies today may be acquired tomorrow. If you spot an entry that is wrong or a provider we have missed, tell us and we will correct it.
Frequently asked questions
Why are Swiss providers such as Infomaniak or hosttech missing?
Switzerland is in Europe but not in the EU, so Swiss companies are outside the scope of this page. They are still in the full comparison, and you can filter it by provider there.
Why are Vultr, DigitalOcean or hosting.com missing? They have EU locations.
They do, and those locations are perfectly real — but the companies are US companies, which is exactly what this page filters out. Use the location filter on the main comparison if a European data centre is all you need.
Does an EU provider mean my servers are in the EU?
Not automatically. Several providers listed here sell servers in the US, Asia or Australia as well. Combine this page's selection with the server location filter if you need both.
Are prices here different from the main comparison?
No. It is the same data, updated on the same daily schedule — this page only narrows down which providers are shown, and prices are shown in the currency and VAT setting you picked.
